As part of our financial team, responsibilities of this role include preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements, participating in the annual budget and financial audits, overseeing and reconciling accounts, reviewing bi-weekly payroll, and preparing a variety of detailed schedules and analyses. Experience with non-profit fund accounting, investments or endowments, payroll, 401K retirement plans, or automating systems (A/P, credit card transactions) is a plus.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven accounting skills and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Solid computer skills in Excel, QuickBooks Cloud or similar accounting software, Microsoft Outlook, MS Office, as well as general acumen with computers and other software programs
- Knowledge of non-profit fund accounting preferred
- Experience with accounting for investments a plus
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- Analytical and inquiring mind
- Able to stay focused and organized, and set priorities
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Able to effectively communicate and interact at all levels of the organization as well as with outside service providers
